"I was a devout user of that "other" now ubiquitous mineral makeup line for over a decade. When I saw Pur Minerals on The Shopping Channel last week, I thought, what the heck? Why not experiment with something different? I have grown so tired of the other makeup's two-step process and was looking for something that I can just fluff on, sans finishing powder, and not feel like I have a thick layer of cream cheese icing on my face. Pur Minerals is it!

Now, I am really PO'd that I missed out on that great "Showstopper" on TSC. But, I did pick up one of the Pur Perfection kits in Light at a Shoppers Drug Mart. I am totally transformed. The foundation is wonderful - very natural looking and feels terrific. The Pink Marble Powder added a wonderful glow to my skin and got me a couple of nice compliments.

This is by far the best makeup discovery I've made in a really long time. I am so glad I found Pur Minerals. My days of "swirling, tapping and buffing" are over. I am now a 3D girl. Thanks for such wonderful products."

Pros: great coverage, good colour choices, doesn't irritate, natural finish, doesn't make me break out, covers redness pimples and under-eyes, improves skins health
Cons: price is high, doesn't wear long (have to reapply 2-3x daily) d, product doesn't last long (1 jar = 1 month for me.

"It was a happy accident that I found this. I've seen it on the Shopping Network, but don't trust the "miracle" products they showcase. I went into my local Shopper's Drug Mart, and there was a rep from this brand there doing demos. The store was empty, and she offered me her time. I left with a full face of makeup and absolutely in love with this line!!!

I've suffered with sensitive skin and have battled acne my whole life. I'm working with a dermatologist, and am using some heavy duty creams. This makeup not only doesn't irritate my already irritated skin..... I THINK IT"S HELPED IT MORE!!!

"I love this product. The best mineral foundation I ever used. It gives such a natural look with so much ease. It's long lasting too. I tried Bare Escentuals and I found it to be chalky, messy, and set into my lines which made me look older. I was skeptical to try another high-end mineral makeup but I'm glad I did."

"Bought this product a year ago, after trying out a full face of Pur Minerals products applied by a drugstore cosmetician. Walked around for while to get a feel for the products and look at it in different types of light, including the daylight streaming in through the window. It felt like nothing on and looked like my skin, only more evenly toned. The redness was all but gone, but my freckles still showed through, which I liked. I bought the starter kit (porcelain), which was the best bang for the buck. I am just running out of the foundation now, but am noticing this winter I may need to add a few more products to the regimen. Being especially prone to sunburn, I always apply a separate sunblock (spf 30), before the foundation, but I am noticing my skin is flaky and drier in certain areas, while still being oily in the t-zone. And the foundation, while comfortable, isn't really moisturizing enough for the dry areas, or matte enough for the oily, shine prone areas. I am sure once I introduce a good mattifying moisturizer, it will all be good again. I will buy this product again, to use as an overall sheer redness-reducer, but as a concealer for dark undereye circles or pronounced blemish scars, it does not look very natural, unless you spend a much longer application time blending the edges."

"I had used MAC for decades, then started mineral makeup with BE about two years ago. I came across this site and thought I would give a pressed mineral foundation a try. Wow, what a difference! The instructional video and instructions are very helpful. The color I chose was right for my skin, and the foundation goes on flawlessly. I am now a convert, and have made 13 orders in less than a month! I won't be a *new*purgirl for long...."

"4 in 1 Pressed Mineral Foundation is Great!
Quick and easy to use. Can use the sponge in areas and brush for all over. Looks very natural, with no high shimmer like other minerals out there. If you have some dry areas on the skin, it does not make them more noticable. Offers a light to medium coverage possibly more with the correct brush.
Not sure if I like the having the mirror upside down compared to regular compacts."

"I really want to love this stuff, but it has a couple of flaws that I don't think I can get passed.

The pros:
It makes the skin look PERFECT (and perfectly natural). It has spf, it is the easiest foundation to apply that I have ever used, AND it has enough coverage to eradicate my dark circles and a mosquito bite on my cheekbone. All excellent reasons to keep using it.

The cons:
I have very fair yellow-toned skin. 'Light' is too dark for me (but the yellow tone is good), 'Porcelain' is the the perfect paleness but is not as yellow (it is is more neutral-peachy) so it isn't a perfect match either...

I can wear the Porcelain much better than the Fair, but it means blending it down my neck and over my collar bones.

Most people would probably think the match was OK, but I want perfection (don't we all?)

Oh, and one other thing - I think I may be finding the bismuth oxychloride a tiny bit irritating. More so in the Light shade than the Porcelain. The sensation is a mild tickling itch, rather like having a hair brush my face, but brushing the non-existent hair away doesn't help."
