"Agree with other reviewers - pur minerals needs to resign caps for pencil end and smudger end. So many times mixed them up and pencil "lead" mushed into smudger cap, making mess and wasting product. Also, both caps have cracked within 2 weeks of use in a padded makeup bag. Liner is natural color -mica brown and lasts. Hypoallergenic too."

"Chocolate Mica is natural looking dark brown that lasts the whole day. Smudge resistant. Smudger tip helps apply product for a natural look. Highly recommend."

"As eyeliners go this is not bad. I have to agree with a previous reviewer though that I have a HUGE gripe with the packaging! If you accidentally put the smudger cap on the eyeliner end it smooshes the pencil flat and wastes a lot of product. I've done this several times in haste and find it so frustrating!!! The caps shoud be interchangeable and I will never buy another one until this issue is fixed!!!!!!"

Pros: black amethyst colour is pretty
Cons: need to tug and pull on eye lid
"I picked this up in Black Amethyst and was really quite excited to try it.
The reviews all sounded great, but I found that for me I really had to pull and stretch my eye lid to obtain a dark enough line.
It is ok if I use it to line the bottom of my eye, but I think I'll try the pur cream eye liner."

"Since my eyesight is not what it used to be, applying eyeliner can be quite a chore; but not with THIS Defining Pencil! I purchased it in the dark blue shade and am now anxiously awaiting for the dark green shade to arrive. This liner feels creamy-smooth and lasts all day long (until you wash it off) without budging! No skin reactions, no burning eyes, and no problems! Who could ask for more? LOVE IT...thank you for yet another terrific product, Joli!"

Pros: i think it would last 24 hours!, very gentle touch to the eye., it blends beautifully!, colors are very friendly with all tones/eye colors
Cons: costs more than i would like.
"I've tried eyeliners from low-end price to high-end and everything inbetween trying to find one that didn't flake off within the first hour at work!! Cake-type, liquid, felt-tip pen, wooden pencils (OUCH!!), and twist ups. Round, flat, diagonals, ...the list could go on and on. But my searching ended last week when I purchased Chocolate Mica for my eyes and Almandine for my brows. It should be illegal to have anyother eyeliner in your make-up kit!! Ten hours after I drew my liner on this morning and it is still from corner to corner, bottom and top lids---and no flakes on my face!!! WOW!!! No more Tammy Faye Baker eyes!!! Don't leave this website without ordering it!!!"

"I love this eye liner! For some one who has severe skin allergies, suffering from watery eyes and sweating eyebrows from most liners, I have NO problems with this one, and it lasts forever as well. "I have always had a problem with eye liners smearing and I always looked like a raccoon at the end of the day. I ended up getting my eyes tatooed because the problem was that bad. The tatoos failed. I decided to try this more expensive eye defining pencil after tying all the brands offered in the store. This was the only eye defining pencil I have ever owned that does not smudge or run. Thank you purminerals."

Cons: put the wrong cap on and wreck the pencil
"I have a suggestion for the caps. I have, on several occaisions, put the smudger cap on the pencil end and broke the pencil into the cap. I believe this is a packaging design flaw, because both caps should be interchangeable. This caused me to waste precious eyeliner, and although I love the product, I feel that I don't want to waste my money, or the time remembering which cap goes where. A cap change would keep my business!"

"I LOVE these...they go on like liquid eyeliner but are easier to use and forgiving. I love the fact that the line smudger is right on the pencil. There is no tugging or pulling around the eye at all.
I find that the product lasts a long time. One pencil lasts me at least a couple of months.
Sometimes I find it hard to put on over my shadow on my lid so I put a thin line on my lid then my shadow and then I put another line of the pencil...it works beautifully."
