"I had high hopes for this one. It just didn't work for me. Upon application, it made my skin feel kinda dry and tight but within a hour or 2 my skin was just as oily as it usually was...maybe even a little more so. After a few weeks of using this consistently, I saw no difference. Really wanted to like this product."

"My skin is an oil slick 15 mins after cleansing and applying makeup- even the best foundations end up either changing color or looking gross because my skin is so oily, even in the dead of winter. I found this while browsing at Ulta and decided to give it a try, even though I felt like I had tried everything. It's simply amazing, I've never had anything work this well and for so long! A little goes a long way, it feels fantastic and I can wear any makeup on top of it, for me, the search is over. I don't need to run from cameras with flash anymore!"

"I have a very oily T-zone, especially my nose, and I can't find anything to matte it for more than an hour, so after reading the reviews of the Under Control Mattifying Gel, I was really excited to get it, as I generally love everything I've previously ordered from Pur Minerals. The product was on backorder for over a month, and when I finally did receive it, I was very disappointed. After following the directions to the letter for over a week, I noticed no discernable difference whatsoever in the oil on my face. Additionally, the gel was very sticky and I felt like there was already a residue on my face after applying it. I'm really bummed because I have never had an issue with any other Pur Minerals product before, but this one simply did not work for me. The price was not astromical, however, so I don't feel like I lost a lot of money, I'm just disappointed."

"This product is one of my must haves. Since it controls oil production, I been having less breakouts. I had been using this for a few months and ran out, as soon as i stopped using this i realized just how oily my skin really is. I now keep this one in stock."

"I thought, based on other reviews, that it would matte my face, but it doesn't. But after I do put it on, it does control my oils a couple of hours longer which I like. I probably wouldn't buy this again unless there was a discount on it."

"This product is great, I use it as a primer for my skin. After weeks of using it, my skin is so soft and less oil. It doesn't really help with the oil issue as much; although, it smooths out your skin very well. Using this as a primer definitely helps with flawless complexion. If you don't have a store near you that sells this, then you should order online because it's really worth the money!"

"I have just started to use the gel for about a week and noticed a difference right away. It does really help to control shine and the look of pores. My pur mineral make up goes on better for me as well. I have not found a product like this from other brands that actually worked. thanks!"

"I have really oliy, sensitive, acne prone skin. After a an hour, my face gets really shiny.. but this product.. worth every penny. I always had trouble finding a an oil control product, but this is it. It works really well under serums and/or moisturizers. I can't say it keeps your face matte all day, but it does give you that natural glow and it does absorb all the extra oil that you don't need. Try it! You may never know.. it does wonders for me so far."

"I just recently got this product at ulta make up store and it works great. The first use i could tell a difference with my pur minerals foundation on, it didnt look as oily at the end of the day. This gel really blocks the oil without making your skin feel dry which is a plus!!"

"That's the quesiton. I have been pleased with all of them! The 4 in 1 Pressed Mineral Powder, the Lip Tint, especailly the Under Control Mattifying Gel. This is an amazing product I've searched forever to find. And I did! With rosacea I have sensitve skin that tends to get oily. No irritation and the matting lasts all day. Plus it feels good on! I'm new to the line and can't wait to try all of the other skin care products. I love the fact that I can order what I want when I need it without the commitment of a "membership" which requires monthly payments for automatic shipping. I researched many skin care lines before finding Pur Minerals and this line fits my skin care needs and my budget. Even their customer service gets kudos! At Christmas I made several calls and these folks are great! Try any of the products, you'll love them all!"

"I have very severe acne and horribly oily skin in the T-zone. The mattifying gel helps my skin look less oily and keeps my make-up looking fresh for the entire day. It also does not make my acne worse (which so many products do!). Combining this product with the MIneral Mudd Masque has really helped my acne and overall skin appearance improve."

"I have had oily skin my whole life (approaching 50) and extremely sensitive to breaking out. This is the first product that I have been able to use that really works AND does not cause any breakouts! I can go all day with no shine...and it only takes a small amount to accomplish this! I love this product and would highly recommend."
