WOW, what a brush
|
Date: October 9, 2008
|
Pros: does its job, unique, works every time
"I was so suprised at this brush. I really was skeptical, but at the first application, I could see how it applied the foundation better than anything I ever used before. It helps the foundation to go on smoothly and evenly all over the face. It doesn't take very much either on the brush, which also suprised me because I got such good coverage with so little product. I love this brush."

"At first I didn't like this brush at all. I even bought the "other" brand's kabuki thingy, but continued to alternate between the two. Now I find this is the one I always reach for, so I guess it just took some getting used to. :>) It applies the perfect amount of foundation with minimal effort & it distributes the foundation evenly. I think the secret must be in the flat profile of the bristles. This is the only brush I've ever seen like that. And it continues to get better with age. Thanks for another unique & great product!"

Great Brush
|
Date: December 24, 2009
|
Pros: provides full even coverage
Cons: none so far!
"I was hesistant to try this brush because I received the retractable one at an in-store event and didn't like it. The rep at the event recommended the powder brush for application on African-American skin, so I've been using it for the past month. I tried a sample using the "real" chisel brush and was amazed at the application! I LOVE IT!! The powder brush is good for light, even coverage but the chisel brush provides more full coverage while still keeping the look natural. I didn't find that the brush was too stiff or shed like some other reviewers mentioned."

Everyone needs different tools
|
Date: October 10, 2009
|
Pros: gets the powder out of the pan better
Cons: not as easily stored as other brushes
"I recived the chisel brush in my starter kit. The bristles are harder then other brushes ive tried but i think thats partly to help lift the powder from its pressed form. Where its good as a face brush for general coverage, I wouldnt recommend it for your eye areas or really sensitive skin. If you need better coverage or concealment using the max coverage brush then use the chisel after to finish up. If the brustles are to hard for your skin ( though it hasnt been an issue for me) try using the powder brushes. Everyone is different, and though pur minerals work on a wide range of people, everyone will still need their own set of tools to use it in the best way for them."

Pros: great coverage, quality
"I have read through many of the reviews of this product but I have to be honest with you, most of the ones that gave a bad review of the chisel bush were quite wrong. When you first get the brush it does shed a little and it may seem a bit still but after you use it for a week of two it loosens up a bit. I would also reccommend washing the brush with some baby shampoo or ineral wash and that will help to take some of the stiffness people complain about.
This chisel brush gives awesome coverage and I could not imagine a better brush for mineral makeup."

Great Brush to apply a Great Product!!
|
Date: April 23, 2009
|
Pros: gives great even coverage
"When I used this brush the first time, I will admit I wasn't sure if I liked it or not... As I continued to use it with my 4 in 1, I now think it is great!! I have a fairly heavy hand, so I have learned a simple solution for those firm bristles... not to press so hard!!! Thanks for such great products :-)"

great brush
|
Date: April 14, 2009
|
Cons: wish there was a little travel size one
"i couldn't believe that this brush could make putting make up on so easy and makes it look so good. id rather use this brush instead of the sponge that comes with the 4 in 1 compact. the bristles are so soft and puts on make up evenly. i wish there was a travel sized brush though"

poor quality

Date: March 30, 2009

Pros: came free with purchase
Cons: poor quality bristles
"Have been using this brush for less then a week and can't stand the constant shedding of the bristles. It's all over the face after the application of the powder(which I love).May be it's a defective brush.I'll give it more time.At least I didn't pay for it(came free with the foundation) ,not worth $22."

Too rough
|
Date: February 13, 2009
|
Pros: looks cute
Cons: hurts my face!, sheds!
"This brush looks pretty, but the quality is not there. It is too scratchy and it acutally makes my face red when I use it to apply product. Definitely not for sensitive skin. Also it sheds a lot. After I'm finished I always have to pick out the brown hairs off my face."

Mixed feelings
|
Date: February 10, 2009
|
Pros: great all over coverage, perfect design for 4-in-1 make up, easy to use
Cons: sheds, stiff at first
"Let me start with the good - I love the way this works in conjunction with the 4-in-1 make up. It gives a great application and my face looks fantastic. That said... this brush loses hair when I use it. It's annoying and makes it feel lower quality. It also can be a bit coarse feeling on the face when you first start using it."

Pros: soft and full
"The PUR minerals Chisel Makeup Brush takes all the guess work out of finding that flawless application we all want. Just follow their simple instructions " Dip,draw, dust" and you will have a luminous, even, complexion. What I love about this brush most, is it isn't hard to the touch and it is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types. Also there is minumull fallout of bristles, leaving your brush full and in shape."

Takes a little time to train to use
|
Date: January 29, 2009
|
Pros: flat cut holds powder better than rounded brushes, makes application quick and easy!, you can't get too much mineral make-up in the bris
Cons: may take time to adjust to
"I have used various brushes for years to apply my make-up, so learning to use a brush was not a trick. But the Chisel Brush is such a totally new design for powder foundation application, as opposed to those usual kind that are big enough to dust the furniture with, that I found it a little ackward to use at first. I used one of my blush brushes to apply it, got comfortable with that and went for the Chisel Brush....WOW!....suddenly working with the Chisel Brush was easy. Now it is like second nature to me and I reach for it with one hand and for the "4-in-1" with the other hand!! So, don't throw the Chisel Brush away, or push it to the back of your make-up kit, keep working with it. It will make you beautiful!"
