Pros: price, texture, pump
"i bought this primer as a spur of the moment purchase, best make up decision ever! I started using pur minerals make up after I started developing acne, and it was the only brand in the WORLD that doesn't make me break out. I bought this primer as I wanted to tone down the redness from my previous blemishes..I LOVE the texture, it feels like pearls being rubbed into the skin. I was wary as usually any liquid makeup makes me breakout, but it did not at all. It completely evens out the skin tone. It works seamlessly with the 4 in 1 pressed powder and bronzer. A definate buy."

"This is the best primer Ever!! I will never go without. This as well as the peach gives an amazing canvas for the 4in1! I ran out of the primer and decided to go to the drugstore and try the revlon primer. BAD idea! it felt so oily and gloopy on my skin :( the Pur Minerals primer is so light and silky. and never pore clogging :) I have always had problems with my face looking super oily after a few hours of wearing liquid foundations, but I NEVER have an oily face with Pur Minerals products! sooo happy I found them!"

"This should win product of the decade! I have been using this for a couple years now. I have a lot of redness in my face. This really does neutralize it. The 4-in-1 foundation does a great job of covering the redness on it's own, but I need a LOT less foundation when I use this, and the coverage seems to last longer, and look better."

"I like:
- the pump dispenser. I prefer this to a wand or something that you have to dip an applicator into. I feel like this keeps the product hygenic.
- texture, it's silky, doesn't pull the skin, doesn't look or feel cakey
- effectiveness - it instantly tones down the redness. I use it for target areas, under my nose, the odd spot here and there.
- the value - price point is very affordable, a little more than typical drugstore product, not as high as high end product, there is enough in the bottle that I won't need to re-purchase for a very long time
I dab it on and use my fingers to tap and feather it until blended, let it dry then go over with a foundation (the 4 in 1, a concealer or liquid foundation).
I've read that people feels that it brings on the oil shine but I have oily skin anyway, I cannot attribute my shine to this product for certain. Just blot the oil and do a light re-application of the primer and foundation."

Disappointed in New Ingredients

Cons: no longer fragrance free, caused breakout
"This version has several new ingredients that do not agree with my skin. My face broke out after using the product for 2 days. Also, the previous version was fragrance free, unfortunately this new version is NOT fragrance fee. Pur minerals products are marketed as being fangrance free and safe for sensitive skin. This primer does not fall into this category.
I am really disappointed to see that these ingredients have also been added to the 4-in-1 pressed mineral powder. I guess I will be switching to a new make-up brand since I can't tolerate these new ingredients."

"I have a very red complexion and I LOVE this green tinted primer! It makes a big difference in how my makeup covers. I've tried other brands and Purminerals is definitely my favorite.
The only con I have is that the pump will not capture all of the primer when the bottle starts to get low. Make sure you remove the pump and scoop out the remnants - you'll get many more applications."
