"I have heard for quite awhile what a great product this is, but I must confess I have been faithful to MAC for 12 years and was apprehensive about trying something new. I went in to ULTA told them i was interested, they did my face and I loved it so of course I bought it. I then got scared that it was just them who had made it look so good, so I came home washed it all off and did it myself and low and behold its true it does look great and its easy to put on and it feels like air. Even better 10 hours later I still looked freash faced and even my old friend MAC couldn't make it all day with out a touch up or two. So Thank you so much and I hope the readers will take a chance like I did, trust me you will not be disappointed!!!!"

"I bought this kit about 2 weeks ago at a Dillards. I wanted to try mineral makeup but wasn't sure where to start and I have a very hard time finding a foundation to match my skin so I went to Dillards to try it out. I bought this kit that day and have been extremely happy since. I have had numerous people compliment me and ask if I did anything different lately. I also love how it has cleared up my skin. Since I have used this I haven't broken out once and it has cleared up my past breakout. I am addicted to Pur Minerals already! I just ordered the holiday eyeshadow pallette and can't wait for it to arrive. I also plan on buying another one of these kits (to keep on me at all times) and the brush pack. Give this a try - you won't be dissappointed."

"having oily skin with tendency to break out very often i swore off foundation and cakey makeup. I decided to try this kit about 2 years ago, and have not looked back since!
its the best kit and lasts for at least 6 months which makes its price, fabulous and more than reasonable considering the cost of makeup these days.
It is by the far the best and it makes you feel like your wearing nothing at all. A great product and definetly something i have told many friends and coworkers about."

"For my wedding i was looking for the perfect makeup that would make my face just glow. After a while of looking. I was up late one night trying to get my daughter to sleep and i watched the program that came on. I just fell in love with it right then. About a week later i ordered it. I tried it and to my supprise it was just the thing i was looking for. On my wedding day i felt so beautiful. I would recemend this to everyone whoe wants that magical day to turn out perfect. My wedding was a very very nice success."

Cons: no dvd for beginners
"This great starter kit is priced at just a few dollars over the chisel brush alone, so you can't go wrong!!! Even though I have the full-size versions I bought this set to travel with. And this is a great way to try some of the purminerals products. You'll see the difference immediately between this line & the other brands. Goes on smooth, stays that way, doesn't look chalky, doesn't settle into lines."

"This is the pur-fet kit just like the title says. If you have never used this type makeup before you would want to get a preview so you can test it out. Every brand of makeup does not work for everyone.
This is a basic starter set and when you use it up then you will know what basic pieces to order or to try another blend."

"I was a long time bare minerals user, however the store was out of my shade and the clerk showed me this. I was skeptical at first; my skin is so sensitive I have to be very careful. Well I brought it home, put it on before going out that night and immediately I noticed a difference!!! My skin feels and looks healthy!! The skin on my face has never felt better! "I have always been on the look-out for organic or 100% natural cosmetic and found Pur Mineral.. since the first trial of Pur-fect Starter kit, I am a believer! It is so easy to apply, but not a big fan of the chisel brush because the chisel tend to stick on my face or fall off. Stay on for the whole day eventhough I blotted some off my face and doesn't cause breakout. Great product!"

"This has everything you need to start off a day with. The foundation matched my skin perfectly, gave me a flawless look everytime i use it. The blush gives this natural looking pink cheeks, also its multi-purpose! you can use it on your eyes and lips. The mineral glow is great for contouring, I use it basically everyday. However the brush it pretty nice looking but it isnt the softest brush i've gotten, if only it was softer this kit would be 5 star. however, the compact may be small but a little goes a long way so you can use these for quite a long time."

"I love the coverage of the 4 in 1 but the Universal Marble Powder smells rancid.
The 4 in 1 does not, nor does the bronzer.
I checked all the mable powders at a store and they all smelled rancid. I can't stand to use it because then I smell that all day so, I threw that away from my starter kit."

"If you want to try PurMinerals, the starter kit is a good way to do this. I purchased mine at Ulta. I love Pur Minerals products and highly recommend them over the loose mineral makeup brands. The only reason this kit got 4 stars instead of 5 is because I prefer a kabuki brush vs. the chisel brush. Also, consider substituting a split pan foundation. I personally like getting two colors of foundation in one. Have never received a PurMinerals product that I didn't like!"
